The Crossing is an active and thriving ecumenical campus ministry that welcomes students of diverse spiritual, religious, and non-religious backgrounds and offers them a safe space to celebrate life’s greatest joys, as well as wrestle honestly and openly with their biggest questions and doubts. Students are invited to grasp the love of God through experiencing the gospel of Jesus Christ, as they join in a community of seekers where their relationship to God, each other and the world is affirmed and deepened. The Crossing’s domestic and global service learning programs, student-led worship, LGBTQ inclusiveness, and partnerships with many student and community organizations offer opportunities for personal growth and leadership development.
This ministry is a partnership of the American Baptist Churches of Wisconsin, The Wisconsin Conference of the United Methodist Church and the Wisconsin Conference of the United Church of Christ. The Crossing is blessed to be housed in a spacious, welcoming, and newly remodeled facility that is situated in the middle of the University of Wisconsin – Madison, a campus of more than 42,000 students and a long progressive tradition.
